Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Cardex mobile application and website (the "Service") provided by Cardex. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Use of the Service

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Cardex.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates these Terms.
  • You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, its servers, or databases.

2. User Accounts

  • You may create one account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits or bans is prohibited.
  • You must provide accurate information when registering. Impersonating another person or entity is not permitted.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. User Content

  • You retain ownership of the data you enter into your collection (your 'Content').
  • By uploading Content to the Service, you grant Cardex a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display that Content to operate and improve the Service.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any Content you provide. Do not upload illegal, offensive, or infringing material.

4. Market Data and Grading

  • Market quotes and price histories shown in Cardex are observed data aggregated from secondary markets. They do not constitute financial advice or guarantees of value.
  • Cardex's AI grading tool provides an estimated, indicative condition assessment only. It is not a professional grading service, and its results are not certification of a card's condition for sale or trade.
  • Any Pro portfolio simulation is hypothetical and uses the current authorized valuation basis. It is an estimate for planning scenarios, not a market quote, financial advice, or a guarantee of future value.

5. Cardex PRO Subscriptions

  • Cardex PRO is a recurring subscription purchased through the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play store. The relevant store manages billing, renewals, payment processing, and store purchase records; RevenueCat supports entitlement and restore flows.
  • Cancel future renewals through the applicable store or its subscription-management link. Uninstalling Cardex or deleting your Cardex account does not cancel a recurring store subscription. Restore purchases from the app when available after signing in to the applicable store account.
  • The current shared monthly AI allowance is 100 uses for Free and 200 uses for effective Pro. These allowances are not unlimited and may be adjusted as the Service evolves.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Cardex is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Shueisha, or any other respective rights holders of the trading card games featured in the app.
  • Card images, set logos, and names are the intellectual property of their respective owners. Cardex uses these for identification and informational purposes only under fair use principles.
  • The Cardex name, logo, software code, and interface design are the exclusive property of Cardex.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • The Service is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind. Cardex makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy of pricing data, card translations, or AI scan results.
  • Cardex shall not be liable for any financial losses or damages resulting from trades, sales, or purchases based on information provided by the Service.
  • Cardex does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service and reserves the right to modify or discontinue features at any time.
